Florida Adventure

Florida - Adventure, wildlife and Storms. Florida has so much to offer when you get away from the tourism. It has such a diversity of wildlife that I never really appreciated on previous trips. I travelled to the west coast to experience the adventures and wildlife of the Crystal River, including manatees and the thrills and stunning wetlands scenery along the Withlacoochee River. I also travelled further southwards down the west coat for some coastal weather in the hope of a waterspout or two including some great thunderstorms. Late afternoon storms fired off every single day of the trip :-) It was also an opportunity to put the OM-D to test. Could it really compare with the flagship dslr E5?...The following images speak for themselves. All images captured with Olympus OM-D and range of lenses - 12mm, 45mm, 75-300mm & 12-50mm.

Bubbling convective storm cloud at Indiana Rocks. Great clouds to get close up. Captured with the Olympus OM-D & 75-300mm
Pelican flying over Indiana Rocks. These are such graceful flyers and commonly fly in pairs or groups. A good test for the focus tracking feature, and which delivered the goods. Captured with the Olympus OM-D.
I was sitting on Indiana Rocks beach & watch this huge storm approach. It took on an Independence Day look with dark, precip filled core with a great shelf lowering wrapped around the main core. Lots of lightning from this storm. Captured with the Olympus OM-D.
