March 7 2011. The ISS with space shuttle Discovery flies across the sky over Lutteroworth. Discovery had undocked earlier today and could be clearly seen apart with the eye. This will be one of the last passes before Discovery makes its final landing and the UK path disappears & therefore a historic moment. Shame the pass was very low on the horizon & in hindsight I should have used a tighter lens. However, it was amazing to clearly see both crafts flying over. This A dozen or so 15s exposures ISO 500 captured with Olympus E5 & 8mm fisheye and stacked in software.
Star Trail captured on evening/morning March 7/8th 2011. Framed the shot around Polaris using the tree to point upwards. Captured with Olympus E5 & 7-14mm. Home made dew shield kept the ice/moisture at bay. Camera was put outside at approx 8pm and left out all night until 8am the next morning continuous shooting. 15s exposure @ F4 via remote cable locked (for continual shooting). Over 2000 images imported and stacked to produce final exposure.
March 6 2011. The ISS with space shuttle Discovery flies across the sky over Lutteroworth, bisecting the Orion constellation. I was stood on a bridge across the M1 motorway, it was an amazing sight with traffic zipping by oblivious to the technology above. A dozen or so 10s exposures ISO 400 captured with Olympus E5 & 8mm fisheye and stacked in software.
