1. Night Sky

Sky at Night

Look into the night sky and you look back in time. The sky at night is a vastness beyond comprehension, full of celestial objects like galaxies, stars, planets and the Moon. Gaze into a clear night sky and you get drawn into another world, a world as it was in the past. In this collection I am sharing my favourite night sky images and collections. All have been photographed in a natural environment and are real images. Many of my images tell a story, whether the subject matter or process of composition.
All photos captured with OM System.

June 16/17 2011. Amazing triple flyby. We are getting ISS spoilt in the UK :-) Yet again another amazing marathon night of multiple ISS flybys! This time the ISS flew over 4 times, although the final pass was just too low on the horizon & late in the morning to capture. This triple from the 2243, 0018 & 0154hrs flyby. Captured with Oly E5 & 8mm fisheye. Camera settings: 15s exposures shot continuous during flyby, ISO 500, F3.5. Foreground lit with a few flash bursts away from camera.
June 14/15 2011. Yet again another amazing marathon night of multiple ISS flybys across UK skies. What a month! This time the ISS flew over 5 times, however light/cloud precluded a few of these from sight. Produced this b&w alternative from a dual Flyby (2313 & 0048 hrs. Again cloud cover rolling in prevented the almost perfect shot. Why are we getting so many ISS passes in one day? Universe Today Captured with Oly E5 & 8mm fisheye. Camera settings: 15s exposures shot continuous during flyby, ISO 500, F3.5. Foreground lit with a few flash bursts away from camera.
