January 19th 2011 full moon captured approx 7pm. According to folklore, this full Moon is the "Wolf Moon," named long ago by Native Americans after the singing packs of wolves they heard during the winter month of January. Called old moon in GB.
Captured with Olympus E3 with 90-250mm lens & x2 TC.
A camera shot of the planet Jupiter with its moons Europa, Ganymede and Callisto and Io pleased with this since it was a mere camera capture (no telescope). Captured with Olympus E3, 90- 250mm lens with x2 TC. Shutter speed was nearly half a sec to actually get them all bright enough to expose!! I do need a telescope :-) Just goes to show what you can capture with a mere camera....so no excuses folks :-)
    Quarter moon
