Winter Sun composite 13 December 2014. A winter day in the life of our Sun as it transits low across the horizon over a short 7 hr period (0900-1600hrs). Captured with Olympus OM-D E-M1 & 7-14mm lens.

How did I capture this? - I set up camera on tripod and took a few sample shots for composition. Using the camera in built time lapse function (set to snap away every 60s) I then let the camera do all the work throughout the day. To engage the starburst effect I set the aperture to a high F22, ISO 200. Once complete I imported all images into MAC and brought together all of the Suns, separated by 20min interval, within StarStax software. The final composite is what you see. Waited a long time for an entire day of clear sky.
