Hurricane Ike - markhumpage
I have never seen the sea this wild before. It was boiling with anger and warranted dedicated clutter free images. Hurricane landfall was still many hours away and I recall asking myself how much worse it could get? The normally clear seas were churned into a chocolate brown mix by the ferocious movement of water dragging up silt from the sea bed. This powerful shot really shows the power of the storm surge, which proved to be the storm's most destructive character for many a year.
